Proud Weinviertel residents – get to know and experience the Weinviertel

The project will help to consolidate the identity anchors of cellar lanes, wine and landscape in the population. In addition, regional products, customs and traditions will also be communicated, as these are currently subject to a megatrend.

The regional identity is to be maintained through various awareness-raising measures relating to the topics of cellar lanes, wine, landscape, regional products, customs and traditions. In addition, the aim is to consolidate the identity anchors and sensitise the Weinviertel people to them by imparting knowledge to the various demographic and socioeconomic groups. An important aspect is also to make the identity anchors of cellar lanes, wine and landscape tangible and bookable. In this way, it will be possible for the population to experience the identity anchors away from the tourist offer. In addition, the municipalities will receive material and knowledge to help communicate the identity anchors. Businesses and associations in the region should also support the Weinviertel in their communication. This can be achieved by using the Weinviertel umbrella brand. The various measures will further strengthen the connection between Weinviertel residents and their home region, turning them into proud Weinviertel residents who know and appreciate the special features of their homeland.
