Position paper land consumption & VACANCIES AT KLAR! SOUTHERN WEINVIERTEL
In the CLEAR! In the Southern Weinviertel region, 13 municipalities have drawn up a joint position paper that draws attention to the growing problem of vacancies. The vacancy issue is developing differently in the region and is increasingly becoming a political challenge. With this paper, the communities clearly commit to the priority of internal development over further external development in order to deal with the region's resources in a sustainable and future-oriented manner.
SHORT FilM: Vacancy is not a fate
In many communities, increases in value mean that vacant lots and vacant lots remain unused. Real estate is often held as an investment without being actively used. But targeted awareness-raising by communities can open up new perspectives. Examples of success from the Weinviertel, such as the “Milchhaus” in Ladendorf or work in the village in Niederkreuzstetten, show how creative concepts and committed action can revitalize vacant properties and integrate valuable areas into the town center.
