Gmoabauernlodn

The project and thus the association “GMOABAUERNLODN” was founded as a joint marketing platform for the domestic producers of Kreuzstetten and the near surroundings, to create a shop in a central location (main square of Kreuzstetten) for the customer where to get a huge variety of seasonal, regional and sustainable products at flexible opening hours (Monday till Sunday from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m.).

The project started with the survey of interested producers respectively interested consumers in summer 2017. After a short orientation phase the association was established. The following planning and implementation phases just last about 6 months. The shop Gmoabauernlodn could already be opened near the community center in Niederkreuzstetten, Kirchenplatz 5 on the 2nd of December 2017 and there was a very well attended opening party with benediction. The numerous customers took the advantage to taste the wide range of products and to get in touch with the producers. Also, in the furnishing of the shop a special attention was placed on the transparency of the producers. Under the slogan “regional, seasonal, sustainable and fair” our suppliers have the opportunity to present themselves individually.

Since the opening, several months have now passed and the shop has a lot to offer at every time of the year. Our customers highly appreciate our range of products and the shop is well attended every day. Also, the highly flexible opening times from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m, even on the weekends, are an advantage for a lot of employed people. Furthermore, a lot of new suppliers are interested and contact us. We are happy to welcome them in regard to our already established product range and our available space.

Nearly one year after the opening, our common project „Gmoabauernlodn“ is a full success, which we want to celebrate together with our consumers at a street festival called “Der Gmoabauernlodn wird eins” on the 18th of November 2018 in Niederkreuzstetten!
