Projekt Leerstand – Kleinregion Südliches Weinviertel

The aim of the project was to focus all existing activities and initiatives and thus use synergies and tackle the topic. This is intended to counteract soil sealing and to activate vacancies and unused areas. For this purpose, a joint position paper was drawn up by 13 municipalities on the subject of vacancies.

Experiences from the projects that have been started should be prepared for everyone. The joint position paper is intended to draw attention to the vacancy issue, which is developing differently in the region and is not only an increasing but also a political problem. The topic should also be taken outside the region. To this end, the mayors got together and developed possible solutions. The resolutions of the 13 local councils support this.

This procedure was processed in 3 steps. In the first step, experiences were collected and exchanges were encouraged. Joint solutions and strategies were then developed and the end result is a regional basis for political decisions.
