Poysdorf’s mobile indulgence wine cellar alley (Weinviertler sales booths)

The City of Poysdorf produced sales booths to exhibit and sell artistic as well as culinary products which will be used at many events throughout the year.

An artist from the area of Hollabrunn designed a sales booth that looks like a typical Weinviertel wine cellar. This design is the basis for Poysdorf’s project. 7 unique sales booths with slightly different designs to imitate the real wine cellar alleys in the area were produced. The city of Poysdorf is undertaking great efforts regarding the cultural heritage of the traditional cellar allies and these sales booths with its unique design are a great example to demonstrate the revival of cultural heritage in the area. Besides the cultural aspect the project also has a strong social aspect. The sales booths were produced by the prison of Korneuburg.

 

„Poysdorf’s mobile indulgence wine cellar alley” is a perfect example for demonstrating how traditional cellar alleys can be set in scene in a totally modern way.
