Smart Region Weinviertel Ost - Smart Assistent

The aim of the project was to create a chatbot for the communities in the LEADER Region Weinviertel Ost, which can answer various questions on community topics. The bot makes it even easier for the population to quickly and easily obtain information about official channels and the local administration. A (chat) function on the municipality websites offers citizens the opportunity to ask questions about life in the municipality, the municipal administration and official procedures, which are answered automatically. The new digital employee works fully automatically and around the clock.

The subject areas of Lower Austrian building regulations, kindergarten/school, municipal taxes, waste disposal, dog registration/listed dogs and neighborhood law defined in the project development have been implemented and are available in the bot. Due to user requests, additional topic areas could be included in the chatbot content. These are found objects, funding, ID Austria, events law, various responsibilities, passport/identity card, registration and some other community topics. The population's bot conversations are continuously viewed and corresponding question and answer sets are added.
