Social space analysis Wolkersdorf

In 2018, the goal was to intensify youth work in Wolkersdorf in addition to the offers in the “Outback” youth center and to supplement youth care in public spaces with further offers. In order to plan and implement targeted measures in this regard, the creation of a social space analysis / needs analysis of the structures and framework conditions for young people in the municipality was planned. The association Tender, association for youth work, was commissioned for this. The desired goal could be achieved with the study. The analysis clearly shows the whereabouts of the young people, their needs and behaviors. The consequence was the ongoing installation of mobile youth work in public space. The young people now have access to more advice, information evenings and support from trained street workers. We are currently looking for a fixed point of contact in the center in order to be able to offer the young people an anchor point on one or two specific days per week. The project “Social Space Analysis Wolkersdorf” has already proven its sustainability in practice.
