Weinerlebnis Weinviertel

Building on (revitalized) cellar lanes objects or alternative and innovative accommodation formats around the topic of wine, the project revised tourist wine experiences in the Weinviertel and developed new formats. A project group made up of around 50 Weinviertel businesses was formed, which dealt with existing wine tourism offers and possible new formats in numerous workshops. Among other things, the new offer “Sunset Tasting” was developed in the project, which was offered by 9 wineries in 2023 and by 18 wineries in 2024. In addition, the project group organized specialist excursions to wine-growing regions in Germany, South Tyrol, the Czech Republic and Austria in order to view best-practice examples of wine tourism offers. Furthermore, a wine tourism congress was held in 2022 and 2023, each with around 100 participants. In order to bring the Weinviertel's overall wine tourism offerings closer to the Weinviertel's target groups, targeted communication measures were implemented and new photo and video material was also produced.
