Everyday cycling in the eastern Weinviertel

The eastern Weinviertel region has a well-developed network of cycle paths. However, information about the fastest and safest routes for everyday use is often lacking. A routing app such as the VOR app "A to B" can help with this – provided municipalities prepare the data accordingly in the Graph Integration Platform (GIP). To promote cycling in the Weinviertel region, existing potential should be better utilized. Children and young people in particular need to be encouraged to cycle, as short distances can often be covered more efficiently by bike. The goal in the LEADER region Weinviertel East is to make central locations easily and safely accessible. To achieve this, municipalities will be supported in entering GIP data, and the population will be motivated through targeted campaigns and regular bicycle repair days.
